Speaking at the 50th Anniversary event he organized with his relatives, Bayraktar Insaat founder Erdoğan Bayraktar shared information about his 50 years of working life in the private sector, bureaucracy and as a Minister. Stating that what he cares about most in his speech is “giving and gaining trust”, Erdoğan Bayraktar said, “We have produced various industrial sites, holiday resorts and cooperative structures, especially housing. We have completed all the projects we started without missing a beat and received their occupancy permits.”

OUR LEGACY TO THE FUTURE

Bayraktar said, “Difficulties formed the basis of our success. The road was dusty and difficult. Labor and trust are the passwords of our half-century success. I paid great attention to being reliable and sought after. I paid attention to quality and safe construction. Each of our projects is a legacy for the future. We continue to add innovations to the construction sector with full confidence. The signature of our 50 years of experience was left in Ankara. We build the Address Ankara houses in Etlik. In 1973, we laid the foundation of success with the Gürpınar Apartment in the Fatih district of Istanbul. Contracting was very difficult at that time. Success is never a coincidence for us. There is determination, devotion and sacrifice in the mortar of each of our projects. Our projects that are reliable, solid and have social areas are always our priority. We are pioneers with our 50 years of experience. The path to success passes through trust. We also attach importance to social responsibility projects in various provinces in order to contribute to the heritage of our country. Serving our country is always our priority. We are ready to help our country whenever it needs. There are still many foundations to be opened. We have a long way to go. Our motto is to work. We will continue to be the address of trust. We are a family of builders,” he said.

STRUGGLE ALONE

Bayraktar said, “I have made great efforts in my 50-year working life. I have been very careful to be reliable and sought after. We have half a century of experience. Determined, diligent and consistent work has carried a person who struggles alone to these points. We have left a mark on our own past. You will find a place according to the patience you show when you have nothing, and the attitude you show when you have everything. Many people who want to be close to you and be your friends when you are in a position disappear when they lose their positions. Construction is not an easy job. We want to complete the construction as soon as possible by doing it with quality.”

50 YEARS, 205 PROJECTS, A FARM AND CROWNED WITH SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS

Bayraktar, who gave the information that they are carrying out a big project opposite Ankara Etlik City Hospital, which is on their agenda, and received flats in return from Yenişehir Construction Cooperative, spoke about their prominent projects as follows; “Our ongoing construction in Ankara is a very big project. We will give 1,290 houses to the land owner cooperative. We will also complete and deliver the houses of the members as soon as possible. We have sold about 300 flats so far. A construction with a total of 3 thousand houses and 2 bazaars is a beautiful project. We also want to do the construction in a quality manner and finish it as soon as possible. Again, we have completed a very magnificent education complex in Kartal Samandıra Junction in Istanbul. We also want to evaluate the education campus in Sancaktepe, which can be a Vocational and Technical College, with a guesthouse, dormitory, lodgings and a large workshop. We have completed an office building in Koşuyolu and are in the sales process. We are building 17 villas in Silivri Selimpaşa. We have a beautiful farm in Kırklareli- Demircihalil village. We are engaged in dairy farming and agriculture with Jersey breed. The mosque and social complex that we have brought to the completion stage in Pazarkapı, in the center of Trabzon, is our most important responsibility.”

Explaining the works they have carried out in the 50-year period, Erdoğan Bayraktar stated that they have implemented many projects, leaving a respected and reliable legacy in the business world. Emphasizing that Bayraktar Insaat has also come to the forefront with its social projects for the benefit of society during this period, Erdoğan Bayraktar said, “We have always been a pioneer and an example for the sector.” Bayraktar Insaat Founder Erdoğan Bayraktar said the following in his speech at the 50th anniversary reception, attended by his family, relatives, business partners, distinguished participants from the sector and the political world: “As Erdoğan Bayraktar, I have done a lot of work for half a century. In the construction sector; mostly in Fatih, Şehremini, Topkapı, Kaleiçi, Lunapark area; and in Kocamustafapaşa, İkitelli and Eskişehir; we have completed many projects such as residences, holiday resorts, industrial sites, cooperatives and received their occupancy permits. When our customer who is going to buy a house learns that we are doing the construction, he says, ‘Erdoğan Bayraktar keeps his promises, he will finish the job he has undertaken’ and leaves after giving the money. This is giving trust, gaining trust. Thank God a thousand times.”

EMOTIONAL POEM FROM ERDOĞAN BAYRAKTAR

The ceremony was filled with emotional moments due to the poem written by Erdoğan Bayraktar. The poem included the following lines: “I set out on the road at a very young age, with a load on my back, I didn’t take a break, I climbed the hills, I was late. I unraveled many socks knitted on my head, I dug fields, I broke rocks, I uprooted roots, I held a pickaxe, I held a shovel, I took a pen in my hand. I clenched my teeth and shed tears, it got stuck in my throat, the words on my tongue, God saw, He helped me, He who surrenders to God, finds salvation, God willing…”

According to the information provided by Bayraktar, Bayraktar Insaat has completed 205 different projects in 50 years. 172 of these projects are housing, 5 are industrial and factory, 14 are commercial-business centers, and 6 are educational facilities. All of the projects are private sector-based; 8 are social responsibility projects. The projects, which have a total construction area of 1.8 million square meters in 50 years, were carried out in Istanbul, Trabzon, Eskişehir, Kırklareli, Balıkesir, Hatay (İskenderun) and Ankara.
