Message from the President

After graduating from Istanbul Sultanahmet Vocational High School, I started teaching at the Istanbul State Architecture and Engineering Academy (Yıldız Technical University) Evening Civil Engineering Department in 1968. At the same time, I started working at a law office in Cağaloğlu during the day. For five years, I worked as an enforcement officer, shuttling between Benice Han on Nuruosmaniye Street and Sultanahmet Courthouse. At the end of five years, before I even finished school, I established my own company in 1973 and entered the construction business with my partners.

The first project we have implemented was the Gürpınar Apartment, consisting of 8 apartments and 4 shops in Fatih Arpaemini Hill, Istanbul. As Bayraktar Insaat, we have produced various industrial sites, holiday sites and cooperative structures, primarily housing, in the construction sector for half a century. We have completed all the projects we have started and received their occupancy permits. We have adopted being 'reliable' as a basic working principle.

Although Bayraktar Insaat activities slowed down due to our bureaucratic services that started with my appointment to KİPTAŞ General Directorate at the beginning of 1995, our company continued to stay in the sector. Our company, which continues its activities under the name Bayraktar Insaat and Contracting Inc., is determined to restructure and focus on the construction sector as of 2013.

As a family company, we have started new projects with our half-century experience and strong technical staff. Together with my colleagues as Technocrats and Ministers, we have been pioneers and examples for the sector with the projects we have implemented throughout Turkey for 18 years on the state side.

After all that service, we continue our activities as Bayraktar Insaat for new beginnings in a productive, responsible and experienced way. How happy we are if we can be useful and successful.
